Moso Process Manager

Moso implements the SSS process management specification.

Why Moso?

Similar to Fountain, the name was chosen because it's a type of bamboo.

Design

Moso is tightly integrated with Fountain. Since both projects require some form of a persistent daemon on each cluster compute node to achieve scalability, it made sense to combine them. The best description of how we achieved this design is from an appendix in my thesis (see attachment below).
